Perpetuity

Wood and Bronze Sculpture - Portland, Oregon

Perpetuity is a sculpture of a bronze "seedling" inside a hollowed-out cross section sliced from a three hundred and fifty foot tall, giant Sequoia Redwood tree. This gigantic sculpture has a total diameter of thirty-two feet across and weighs in at thirteen and a half tons. The sculpture symbolized growth, regeneration and the perpetual cycle of life.
