British Columbia Centennial Fountain

Marble and Mosiac Fountain - Vancouver, BC

The British Columbia Centennial Fountain in Vancouver is a large 72’ X 26’ fountain with a 16’ high central marble sculpture. Three jets of water shoot sixty feet high into the air. The water is pumped and circulated at the rate of three hundred thousand gallons per hour. The basin of the fountain is laid out in colourful hand cut mosaics. Each piece was individually selected by the artist. The towering central theme was hand carved of rare jet-black marble. Computer technology orchestrates the water movement, colour changes and visual aesthetics
